The covers feature real maps of the Admiralty, treated and built into strong chipboard. In the center, there is a compass, deep embossed with golden crystals, and some vintage gears to complete the scene. The corners are decorated with vintage metal corners, and 6 vintage golden nails balance the opposite side. It has been treated with several timeworn techniques to achieve this unique look. The finish has been made with several layers of ecological varnishes, to protect the artwork and ensure the vitality of colors for many years to come. The spine is real brown calf leather.
It is bound using strong 4-ply Crawford's Irish linen thread. It features 82 pages of superb 300gsm supreme watercolor paper, that can withstand huge amounts of water and very hard treatment, even unprimed! All the pages have their edges distressed. Its size is 17,5 x 25,5cm ( 7 x 10 2/8 inches).
