The book is hardcover and the covers are dressed with handmade Khadi watercolor paper, so you can customize it to your heart's delight. This is a 100% cotton paper made by hand in the village of Tarihal near Hubli, in Karnataka, South India. Handspun from long, fibrous cotton rags, the fibers transform into fine, indian handmade paper. These genuine rag papers are known for their exceptional strength and durability. The paper is Natural White (no dyes used) and can have small markings gained during the paper making process, which makes each sheet unique and authentic.

The journal has 60 pages of top quality professional 60% Cotton Fabriano paper of 285 gsm (130 lbs) with a smooth vellum surface. It performs a well as 100% rag papers and its lack of an external sizing agent give it a sumptuously soft surface which makes it ideal as a luxurious, upscale drawing paper. It is also acid-free & chlorine free.
Fabriano is an Italian paper manufacturer with a long story in fine-arts papers. This paper is ideal for inks, dyes, paint, watercolour, gouache, pastel, pencil, charcoal and printmaking. Although I try to use the embossed seal part of the paper as the inner covers, it is sure that you will encounter it in one (or even more if you are lucky) of your pages! All pages are torn by hand - no metal knife was used!
