The covers are dressed with Khadi paper. This is a 100% cotton paper made by hand in the village of Tarihal near Hubli, in Karnataka, South India. Khadi rag papers are made from 100% cotton rag, which have longer fibers than linters that are generally used in papermaking. These genuine rag papers are known for their exceptional strength and durability. It is amazing with any media: from watercolor to acrylic and anything in between!
The front cover has a simple watercolor sketch by me. You can leave as it is or use it as a base for your own artistic experiment on the cover, At the bottom of the back cover the "Journal Shop" logo is stamped.
It has 24 pages of Fabriano Cotton Watercolor paper of 300 gsm (140 lb), with rough surface to experience the total handmade feeling. The absence of acid guarantees the inalterability over time of the paper. It is mould made, produced with 100% cotton, chlorine and acid free, guaranteeing long conservation and inalterability over time. The paper is sized both internally and externally, making it ideally absorbent and retaining its nature unaltered even if scratched. Ideal for watercolour, tempera, gouache, acrylic, ink and drawing. It is also suitable for printmaking.
Its size is 20,5 x 15,5cm (8.07" x 6.10") and it is bound with Linen thread using the pamphlet stitch method, which permits the journal to open flat.
